Boat & Bike - Bamberg-Regensburg - MS Casanova

Day 1 Arrival in Bamberg
Embarkation at 4 p.m. - after which you should definitely go explore this UNESCO world heritage and beer-crazy city.

Day 2 Bamberg - Erlangen, approx. 45 km/28 mi
The route takes you through the meadow landscape of the Regnitz Valley to the Franconian town of Forchheim, which has a long tradition of brewing. Bamberg restaurants sourced their beer from here during the Bamberg Beer War in 1907. The destination of the first bike tour is Erlangen.

Day 3 Erlangen - Nürnberg, approx. 30 km/19 mi
Fürth is a great place to take your first longer break. Cycle along the Regnitz river to the historic city of Nuremberg. We recommend visiting a traditional gingerbread bakery, such as Düll or Fraunholzer, where Elisen gingerbread is still made by hand today.

Day 4 Nürnberg - Hilpoltstein, approx. 40 km/25 mi
You will cycle along the historic Main-Danube Canal towards your destination for the day. Initiated by King Ludwig I, the canal is one of the oldest in the world with 101 locks and is a historic monument to engineering.

Day 5 Hilpoltstein - Beilngries, approx. 40 km/25 mi
Your bike tour first takes you to medieval Berching. The traditional horse market, Bavaria's largest winter folk festival, takes place there every year at the beginning of February. Medieval towers and baroque buildings characterize the old town of Beilgries.

Day 6 Beilngries - Riedenburg, approx. 30 km/19 mi
The name “Chinesen” (Chinese) for Dietfurt has its roots in an anecdote from the Middle Ages. The annual “Chinesenfasching” carnival has been declared a world-famous part of Bavaria's intangible cultural heritage. Today's destination is Riedenburg, surrounded by castle ruins.

Day 7 Riedenburg - Regensburg, approx. 55 km/34 mi
High above Kelheim towers the Liberation Hall, built by King Ludwig I, while the Altmühl and Danube rivers converge in the valley. The route continues along the Danube to Regensburg, one of Germany's oldest and best-preserved medieval old towns and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 8 Departure
Your tour “Boat & Bike - Bamberg-Regensburg" ends after breakfast. Disembarkation by 9 a.m.
